Leading an Effective Engineering Team

Leading an effective engineering organization requires not only the right processes, but also the tools and ability to understand your industry's current outlook, recognize change on the horizon, handle global shifts in competition, and select the right strategy for your team.

We will cover tools for gaining support for change, winning political backing from other leaders, reaching consensus, and defining an action plan to communication with the organization.

This workshop is appropriate for leaders of engineering organizations, project managers, and business unit leaders.  Working in small teams, participants will experience using these tools and techniques and applying them to their current situations.

Participants gain an understanding of

bullet How to gain support from a broad cross-section of your organization
bullet How to negotiate for the resources your team needs to achieve its goals
bullet How to align your team’s strategy with that of the firm
bullet Dealing with risk and uncertainty
bullet Building an infrastructure that supports innovation

This program is focused on productive outcomes for leaders and their teams.

Our on-site workshops are targeted at teams of 10-20 managers or individual contributors within an organization.

We actively engage participants in the  learning process through case study discussion and break-out exercises tailored to a current issue in your workplace.
